The culmination of the annual ALPA Air Safety Forum was the awards banquet, which each year highlights the hard work and achievements of the association's safety, security, and pilot assistance efforts. ALPA's top honors in each of those disciplines were presented. The banquet, held at the Washington Hilton the evening of August 9,2012 also honored two pilot crews for their superior airmanship and quick thinking in the face of adverse flying:
